Cyndee Overland has a Masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine and graduated Magna cum Laude from Emperor’s College in California. In 1995, Cyndee interned in two hospitals in Shanghai, China, where she treated hundreds of patients suffering from a variety of conditions such as paralysis and pain from strokes, polio, Bell’s palsy, sciatica and TMJ. She also participated in a research study at the Salvation Army Rehabilitation Center in Los Angeles that used acupuncture to treat patients with drug and alcohol addiction. Cyndee is a Diplomat of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology and is certified by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists. Cyndee taught at Emperor’s College, YoSan University and Samara University—the three largest and most established acupuncture schools in the Los Angeles area. She was also an examiner for the California’s State Board. She is licensed to practice acupuncture in both Oregon and California. Cyndee’s treatment approach integrates the concepts of Traditional Oriental Medicine to assist patients in their own healing process. Through Oriental Medicine, one begins to understand how emotions affect the physical body and how lifestyles affect the emotions and the relationship between mental, physical, emotional and spiritual balance. Cyndee has lived in Bend since 2006 and fully enjoys the Central Oregon lifestyle skiing, hiking and kayaking or SUPing.
